In a Special Comment on MSNBC, Countdown’s Keith Olbermann disagrees with the passing of Proposition 8 in California and urges people to accept love between people of the same sex.
Virtually every major newspaper in California is against Prop 8. The L.A. Times says it is “a drastic step to strip people of rights.” La Opinión called Prop 8 “an unnecessary initiative”. The San Diego Union Tribune wrote that Prop 8 “offends many Californians’ sense of fairness.”

May 15th, 2008 was a spectacular day for marriage equality when the California Supreme Court ruling made it legal for same-sex couples to marry. California became the second state in the US to legalize same-sex marriage.
